FAB Festival, sponsored by Hero Renewables, is excited to announce that New Orleans’ very own jazz band, ‘The Roamin` Jasmine’, and swing band living the Californian dream, ‘Billy Lee and The Swamp Critters’, will be performing in the afternoon at Sunday’s free concert on the main festival site, Market Field. FAB Festival will be hosting an array of performances, activities, food, and beer festival across this three day event that will be complimented by these jazz and swing bands, including bringing the UK a taste of the American Dream on the final day of FAB Festival 2017.
Following their success at FAB Festival last year, ‘The Roamin` Jasmine’ return to Middlewich this summer for more fun and to participate in the thrilling FAB Festival celebrations. This year they are moving to the main stage with their jazz and blues inspired music to reach a larger audience with their American cheer and spirit. Straight from the home of jazz music itself, the French Quarter of New Orleans, with hits such as “When I’m Dead” and “Dark Winter Nights” from their debut album “Iris,” ‘The Roamin` Jasmine’ bring to the stage exciting eras from the 1920’s to the 1950’s, with a modern touch. ‘The Roamin` Jasmine’ is sure to bring with them the lively streets of America’s jazz scene, and maybe even a little Mardi Gras, this year to FAB Festival’s Market Field.
FAB Festival will also be welcoming to the Market Field, California-based swing band, ‘Billy Lee and The Swamp Critters’, on Sunday afternoon to present their Gulf Coast music. Known for their album “Lorraine” and for the Original Six Flags California Theme Park Mardi Gras song, ‘Billy Lee and The Swamp Critters’ has been featured as the cover story for Troubadour Magazine and interviewed by KPBS Radio. Gathering inspiration from Cajun, Zydeco, and Texas swing, ‘Billy Lee & The Swamp Critters’ is sure to add a new twist to the event on Market Field this year.
Middlewich Town Clerk, Johnathon Williams comments, “Middlewich FAB Festival is delighted to welcome back ‘The Roamin` Jasmine’ and have them perform on the main stage at Market Field. They certainly proved to be a hit with festival goers last year, and we’re looking forward to having ‘Billy Lee and The Swamp Critters’ join them to create a lively family experience at this year’s FAB Festival.”
These two American bands are sure to transport fans across the world and back in time for the Sunday afternoon free performance. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a wide variety of performances across FAB Festival’s many fringe venues and the crafts and traders stalls, providing family fun and food. FAB Festival recently announced ‘Lightning Seeds’ headlining Friday night’s ticketed concert and ‘The Sundowners’ headlining with support from Emma Stevens on Saturday night’s free concert on Market Field.
