Middlewich Town Council’s FAB Festival is one of the most popular events on the Middlewich social calendar and this year’s event from 13 to 16 June 2019 is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors including music lovers from across the country.
Held over 3 days the festival will once again include a fantastic line up to wow the crowds! On Friday night the Main Stage ticketed concert will have a quadruple bill including chart-topping “Dancing In The Moonlight” band Toploader, singer-songwriter Emma Stevens, Macclesfield-based rock duo The Virginmarys and local band The Peacocks. On Saturday night we couldn’t resist the opportunity to offer something special with 70s pop legends Showaddywaddy promising great fun and admission is FREE. Sunday’s line-up includes electro swing band Electric Swing Circus, who sell out venues up and down the country, supported by an eclectic treat of music-makers from Africa, Russia, and Wigan.
The festival will also feature a host of entertainment at official fringe venues in and around Middlewich including The Big Lock, Boars Head Hotel, Cheshire Cheese, The Kinderton, The Kings Lock, The Narrowboat, Newton Brewery Inn and The White Bear.
Celebrating Middlewich’s canal heritage and natural assets, the floating market will be back in full force this year after the repair works to the Shropshire Union Canal. Stretching from Town Bridge to The Big Lock the market is a real spectacle in itself with brightly-coloured boats selling everything from cakes and crafts to ironwork and paintings.
